Dear Senator Dayton,
I commend you today for your courage in speaking out about the evidence you’ve seen that NORAD lied to the American people and to the Commission when it released it’s official timelines in September of ’01 and again at the May ’03 hearing (not under oath!). [Our group was instrumental in forcing the Commission to take testimony under oath].
I feel that the timeline offered us by the Commission is suspect as well. This brings me to my primary message to you and your colleagues as you look ahead to further hearings on the Hill about the Commission’s Report.

Pertaining to accounts in Clarke’s book Against All Enemies, neither retracted or refuted, regarding 9/11 war games and the participation of General Myers and Sec. Rumsfeld in a video conference managed from the White House Situation Room by Richard Clarke with the assistance of his Deputy, Roger Cressey.
Note of Explanation:
This letter/email was presented (via email or in person) to Mr. Clarke on four occasions without a response of any kind to the specific questions raised regarding the actions (or lack of) from our military and top officials in positions of responsibility on 9/11. Given no response, and Rep. Cynthia McKinney’s attempt to raise the issue at February 16th Armed Services Committee hearing, CitizensWatch is taking the step of making this letter public.

This is the story of hundreds, if not thousands, of foreign language documents that the FBI neglected to translate before and after the Sept. 11 attacks — documents that detailed what the FBI heard on wiretaps and learned during interrogations of suspected terrorists.
[NOTE from CitizensWatch: one of these detailed intelligence intercepted in April of 2001 that revealed a plot to use aircraft as weapons and crash them in targets in 5 American cities (NOT an overseas threat). Washington, DC, Feb. 22 (UPI) — The Department of Justice has abandoned its claim that allegations made by a fired FBI translator are secret, paving the way for a court case that will air embarrassing allegations about incompetence, poor security and possible espionage in the translation unit of the Bureau’s Washington Field Office.
At issue are the claims of Sibel Edmonds, a contract translator for the FBI hired in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

Decision Likely to Have Significant Impact on Sibel Edmonds’ Appeal, Says ACLU
WASHINGTON – The Justice Department admitted today that information it had retroactively classified could be released to the public and did not pose a threat to national security. The American Civil Liberties Union said the revelation could aid government whistleblowers in their efforts to fight unlawful dismissals.

The Skyscraper Safety Campaign www.SkyscraperSafety.org is calling for the disclosure of ALL of the materials upon which the 9-11 Commission Report was based : both classified and UNCLASSIFIED.
The current focus of calling for release of a few classified documents is inadequate. It must be known that none of the Commission materials that were the basis for the report have been made available to full public scrutiny.
The 9-11 Commission failed to fulfill its mandate to the victims’ families regarding what happened to the 3,000 victims in the WTC on 9/11.
